Some things don't need explanation...

For some reason, the blue of the veins spread more than expected. I should have been more careful! Daiken suggests next time possibly using different colours of clay (like the regular grey/bisque kind in contrast with some of the terra cotta coloured clays). Not sure how that will work out but I will definitely try it again.
